I still remember earlier this year when I was talking about the Ethereum 2.0 merge many just dismissed it as a meme. HA! Looks like it is not a meme anymore.
Here are the upcoming dates you should take note of:
August 11 – Goerli testnet
September 19 – Ethereum mainnet
While the dates are not final yet, it is exciting to see everything coming together. I’m bullish on the merge but still have some reservations about it. It is not just some small upgrade to the system, the merge is akin to a complete overhaul of the financial system.
With an upgrade this size, something is bound to break. I urge those that are heavy in ETH to hedge their position. When done right, it helps to reduce your losses so you wouldn’t be left with an empty bag.
What a crazy start to the week. The whole market pumped like mad, and it’s now a sea of green. In the last 7 days, Bitcoin is up 21% and Ethereum is up 50%.
The sudden bull run came out of nowhere and many were not prepared. All the Chain Debrief’s in-house degen got rekt hard. A very big shout out to Yusoff Kim – our biggest degen that got liquidated.
Anyway, if you didn’t know, MATIC was one of the biggest winners this week. It was up 70% because it was chosen by the Disney accelerator program.
