Over the past few weeks since started our Telegram Community Channel, some of the feedback that we received is that many may still be unfamiliar with the world of decentralized finance (DeFi).
As such, we are happy to share that we will be conducting 3 separate community sessions to onboard our community onto the DeFi world.
Here are the details:
Community Session 1: The Gateway to the DeFi World
The decentralized finance world does not rely on central financial intermediaries such as brokerages, exchanges, or banks to offer traditional financial instruments, and instead utilizes smart contracts on blockchains.
Being in charge of your own digital assets, the DeFi world offers APY yields as high as 3 or 4 figures for crypto natives who are willing to take the risk and explore the different DeFi protocol.
To interact with decentralized finance, you will need a digital wallet.
In our first community event, you will learn:
- How to set up a digital wallet on Metamask
- How to transfer your asset from an exchange to Metamask
- What is Uniswap – the largest decentralized exchange
- How to buy coins not on centralized exchanges like Binance
- Cons of using Metamask – Gas Fees
- Q&A
What you need:
You will need at least 0.1 Ethereum in your exchange wallet. You will be using this as a base to move this 0.1 ETH over to your Metamask wallet. You can then also use this to purchase a swap on Uniswap.
When and where:
This will happen via Zoom session on 15th October 2021, at 9pm – 10pm. You can register for the event via our Telegram group.
Community Session 2: The Multichain World
With the high gas fees on Ethereum network, many other promising blockchains have launched with significantly higher transaction throughput and lower fees.
Some of the more popular ones are Binance Smart Chain and Polygon, where fees can be as low as $0.01 (polygon). To interact with the decentralized applications on these blockchains, you need to bridge your asset over to these blockchains.
In our second community event, you will learn:
- Introduction to Binance Smart Chain
- How to connect to the different chains on Metamask
- Bridging over from Binance to Binance Smart Chain
- Introduction to yield farming and liquidity pool
- How to stake your coins and earn a yield on Pancakeswap
- Introduction to Polygon
- Introduction to Quickswap
What you need:
You will need at least 0.1 Ethereum in your Metamask wallet. You will be using this as a base to bridge this 0.1 ETH over to the Binance Smart Chain and Polygon. You can then also use this to farm for tokens on Pancakeswap and Quickswap.

Community Session 3: The Terra Ecosystem
Other than earning yields from liquidity provider pools, you may also earn airdrops from protocols by staking and delegating your tokens to the validators on the protocols. For example, you may delegate and assign your Luna to the validators of the Terra ecosystem and in return for that, you earn a yield from the transactions fees generated by the validator and you are immediately entitled Anchor, Mirror and Pylon tokens airdrop which you can claim weekly.
In our third community event, you will learn:
- Introduction to Terra and UST
- How to transfer your Luna from Binance to Terra Station
- How to stake on Terra Station
- How to check for airdop
- Introduction to Anchor Protocol
- Q&A
What you need:
You will need at least 10 Luna in your exchange wallet. You will be using this as a base to bridge this over to your Terra Station wallet. You can then use this to delegate to a validator and start earning Anchor, Mirror and Pylon tokens airdrop.
