Axie Infinity Generated Over $800 Million In Revenue In August 2021

Play-to-earn game Axie Infinity(AXS) has generated over $800 million in revenue in a single month, highlighting the surging popularity of games based on non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

According to NFT analytics site CryptoSlam, Axie Infinity has now made over $1.65 billion in all-time sales with over 3.8 million transactions, pushing the gaming platform to the top spot of the NFT collectibles space.

This August, Axie Infinity generated $830,114,698.93 in sales.

Axie Infinity is the first NFT game to surpass $1 billion in sales. The next best-selling game is NBA Top Shot, a basketball trading card game.

Launched back in 2018 by Vietnam based Sky Mavis, Axie Infinity is a turn-based real player game (RPG) that allows users to buy, sell, trade, breed, and battle cuddly digital pets called “axies”.
