What is your 2022 top crypto project pick? Why is that project your top pick?
My portfolio is still heavy BTC, LUNA, ETH and yield seeking from them.
Besides those, I’m looking more into $jewel as well (am already invested and made a pretty good returns on them) but I am still quite bullish on them and considering putting more in.
I’m looking forward to their growth across different platform. Looking at sushiswap that just exist on different platform without much utility since there are other dex with better liquidity and lower slippages, DFK is putting more effort into cross platform utility. Remains to see what it can be, so quite excited about it.
What is your biggest crypto lesson of 2021?
Short term wise am still aping and trying out different games but it’s taking a toll on me. Got into wolf game and made decent returns which is then loss on other games. Ended up this small portion portfolio is taking up majority of my time which on hindsight doesn’t make sense. So one lesson be learnt is time management.
Takeaway is probably learning to filter out noises and trolls.

Why is that project your top pick?
I see ETH being used in 70% of most of the projects(I could be wrong). With Version 2, the gas fee will be reduced and people will start to flow back to ERC20.

What is your 2022 top crypto project pick?
Illuvium (Game)
Why is that project your top pick?
I see great gameplay graphics, unique from other crypto games. (personally not a fan of jpegs). The game will also be playable on mobile in 2022 (no specified date).
As Illuvium uses ETH for primary currency and with the issue of the cost of transactions on the ETH network, Illuvium uses Immutable X to avoid high gas fees. With ETH being the OG in the crypto world, it is attractive for gamers to play the game as well because at the same time, they are earning ETH.
With ZK Rollup in the ETH space and gamefi booming in the crypto space in late 2021, i see crypto gaming on ETH dominating the crypto space in 2022.
Are you vested in that pick?
No, as the token (ILV) is not needed to play the game. So my holdings are 60% in ETH as it is the primary currency for playing the game.
What is your biggest crypto lesson of 2021?
Never chase a after projects with crazy APY/APR percentage as there are potential of pump and dump. Stay relevant with crypto news.

What is your 2022 top crypto project pick?
I am pretty invested on the Avalanche chain (AVAX).
IPersonally, I am into DeFi 2.0 projects on AVAX, such as Wonderland, from the Frog-Master, Daniele Siesta, creator of Abracadabra, Popsicle, Magic Internet Money, Spell.
Wonderland is an Olympus Fork on Avax chain that provides High yields every 8 hours and auto-compounds.
Why is that project your top pick?
After OlympusDao, Wonderland is the next best pick if you want to try out another Rebase Token, without the expensive Ethereum gas fees.
Wonderland is still guided by Daniel and his team, growing the Treasury, before transitioning into a DAO. Plans are pretty ambitious, with suggestions to sponsoring a E-sports Gaming team, to creating a text-based RPG where Wonderland holders can have enjoy and earn more together.
Are you vested in that pick?
I’ve been in Wonderland early since September when Wonderland Time price was about US$2000. Always looking to add more to my Wonderland stack, especially during the recent dip, at currently US$5500.
The best way to play this is to put in whatever amount that you are willing to lose, come back again and take a look after 3 months, mathematically, you should be in profit.
You can also play it the safer way, by withdrawing your eight hour rebase and cash out in Stables or AVAX, which can amount to almost a day’s worth of hard work, depending on how much you have invested.

The rise of Proof-of-Stake coins and the extreme low-cost of entry, a.k.a gas fees.
This is what Ethereum will look like once it transitions into Proof-of-stake. But AVAX, like many other Proof-of-Stake tokens are showing us what the future of blockchain can bring us.
Most of all, I look forward to what Ethereum will bring in once it transistion to PoS!

Coming from tradfi, I can easily relate that a project like that, having already attracted some big names like TikTok, Disney, will go a long way in adding more big names to their client base.
Not to mention once all these happens, based on the tokenomics as I understand, the token holders are rewarded whenever each IMX NFT is transacted. That is a hell load of sales efficiency once you have many projects.

Crypto is based more on community and building rather than simply pump and dumps / ponzi.

Stay humble and stay hungry for quality intel. Experience doesnt save one from getting rekt. But one can adopt better strategies to minimise risk and maximise gains.

What is your 2022 top crypto project pick?
I would be looking at VVS token as the top crypto pick for 2022 as of now.
Why is that project your top pick?
Firstly, it has a strong backing by Particle B which is a startup that dedicated their time to incubate projects such as VVS. The co-founder of Crypto.com is The founder of particle B. This improves the credibility of the token . It also has high correlation with CRO coin which is recently have massive marketing campaign and good customer adoption
Secondly, total liquidity has reached 1 billion dollars which is very impressive although it’s not even 2 months old. This shows the conviction VVS token holders have in the project.
Lastly, it’s a good passive income strategy for me to accumulate more tokens in USD to go about my daily living .

What is your biggest crypto lesson of 2021?
Be the early adopter of a project that is hidden from the radar and don’t blindly follow masses or famous YouTubers that shill famous coins non-stop. At the end of day having a strong conviction is important.

I shall not explain for Ethereum cause in my opinion it is a no brainer to buy. For FTM, I believe the project is still in its “infancy stage”. With FTM having more developers and possible usage of the coin from big game companies
Are you vested in that pick?
I am currently not buying Ethereum, but around 30-40% of my portfolio is in FTM.
What is your biggest crypto lesson of 2021?
Hold coins long term and allocate small amounts to ape into projects.
Back when I started in August, I got liquidated three times in futures Dogecoin I learnt to be more patient. As long as the coin you are investing in continues to develop, having a dip of 30-50% is not an issue.

OHM, despite how people dismiss it as a ponzi due to its insane APY (hint: it’s not a ponzi), it created a novel approach to solve DeFi protocol liquidity issue, which is bonding as well as Protocol Owned Liquidity.

What is your biggest crypto lesson of 2021?
Do not overdiversify, make high conviction concentrated bets. 3-10 coins in a portfolio is ideal. Do not invest in 100 random coins hoping one of them to go 100x. Diversification preserve wealth, concentration build wealth.

I don’t have any exciting projects to talk about. So I’ll just say I’ll be just watching ETH and load some at support.
Why is that project your top pick?
In investments the boring the better as there are less hype. Although metaverse is all the rage, i currently have no bags and am looking to pick up some metaverse cryptos if there are favourable entry points.

ETH? I’m considered all in. Although it is inside NFTs. Some profitable mostly have dropped. Counting on my World of Women bags to do well in future. Not sure how will it go.
What is your biggest crypto lesson of 2021?
I sold almost every cryptocurrency I own in Aug and September to go all in NFTs. Little did I know NFTs are all about community and I only had one good luck with a single project and everything else actually seems to be on their way towards zero. I now learnt that since I don’t have enough time for grinding NFT projects or community due to my day job, I would have to about turn back to looking to invest in cryptocurrency again when the time is ripe.
From now I will be saving up more fiat or stable coins to have enough bullets to fire up my warchest when the bear comes or I shall want to accumulate during bear periods. Remember fortune is made during bear periods not bull.

Its technical performance is also impressive, with 2 second finality and close to zero fees on transactions. The team also has strong pedigree is also very transparent about their roadmap with the community.

Taking profits and managing risks. Tbh I’m still quite new to crypto, only diving deep this year. The original pull was definitely seeing all the 10X 100X that people were making, and wanting to mirror similar results. But ultimately, 10X is not everything, managing risks based on our own risk profiles is very important.

I’ll attempt to give both the advantages and disadvantages, but I believe the pros outweigh the cons.
CUBE is severely undervalued if you compare the volume to its market cap. This is furthered bolstered by its limited supply of 100 million.
CUBE’s 24 hr volume is only at 8 million as compared to it market cap of 258 million. Comparing the volume against the market cap is a great way to analyze whether a project is overvalued and is just currently relying on hype. For example, you can see ALICE, SAND, and MANA all have a volume exceeding its market cap. A great indicator is that SAND crashed to about $5 because it was relying too much on hype, and needs some healthy correction.
Another reason is that CUBE is not listed on any major exchanges. It is a hidden gem. Currently the top exchanges for getting it is BitGet, Gemini, and CoinEx. Crypto influencers also have not looked at it yet, such as JJ Lin who has currently only bought SAND and MANA. The gains on CUBE have been profitable this year, with an initial price of
$0.03639773

Furthermore, its main-net will only be launched in 2022 which will give it great potential. The fact that it is barely mentioned by crypto influencers/shillers is a good sign.
However, one con is that the valuation for Somnium Space could be overvalued if you use FDV as the team has not released the full supply yet. They have 27.5% supply locked up for grants, and the rest of the 60% are still locked up and they haven’t release tokenomics on emission schedule and game incentives. Essentially that means 12.5% circulating and 5% gemini liquidity and 1% in uniswap, which is not the best allocation currently. On the 12.5% supply, it seems to be about a 250m mkt cap, but FDV is close to 2bn, contrasted with sand and mana at about 6-7bn. As usually this is my person opinion, DYOR before going into any project.

Yes, personally I am vested and have a small bag. However, I would only go all in maybe during a winter as this is the best time to do a 10x.
What is the biggest crypto learnings you had in 2021?
- Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Its easy to get rich and easy to lose it all. Ensure proper risk management. Always set your stop losses and if you lose even 5-6 digits just take a break from crypto before entering again.
- Don’t let crypto take over your life. Crypto is a great space, but it eats into your personal time a lot and can be extremely stressful. Ensure proper boundaries between crypto, work/study, and personal and social life
- Don’t listen to shills inside community chats. If its shilled, you are exit liquidity, if you buy in, you may luck out and ride the wave, or you may lose it all
- Crypto at the end of the day you need to consider are you in for the tech or money? Be prepared to lose it all when you invest that money inside.
- Always have a backup plan. Personally as a student, my risk appetite is high. I can afford to degen as a student without much thoughts as I only need to go into the working world much later. It is always good to have a backup plan however, and I admit it is challenging to maintain my academics (p.s. I’m top of my cohort) and do crypto at the same time. It is also great to network and develop a social profile as connections will fare you in a much better position in the business and cryptocurrency world.
